What is a mechanical keyboard?
A mechanical keyboard uses individual physical switches under each key, instead of a flat membrane like traditional membrane keyboards.
These switches offer better tactile response, durability and customization.
How long does it take to build a custom keyboard?
We understand that acquiring a custom mechanical keyboard is an important investment, and we want you to feel calm and confident at every step of the way. Our process is designed to ensure you get exactly what you want, with the highest quality and attention to detail.
The creation process is divided into three clear stages:
1. Design and Initial Customization (1-2 days)
We begin by establishing direct communication with you to understand your needs and preferences. In this phase, we adjust the design, select the ideal materials and components, and create an initial proposal based on your tastes. Your opinion is key, and we will work together until you are completely satisfied with the design.
2. Component Acquisition (if necessary, 1-15 days)
Once the design is defined, we take care of obtaining the specific materials and components you chose. If any element is not immediately available, we order it specially for you, ensuring the highest quality standards.
3. Manufacturing and Final Delivery (3-7 days)
With all elements ready, we proceed to manufacture your keyboard. Each piece is assembled with precision and care, following the agreed details. Once finished, we perform rigorous tests to ensure perfect operation before delivering it to you.
Our commitment is to provide you with a product that reflects your style and meets your expectations. Throughout the process, you will be accompanied by our team, who will be available to resolve any questions or adjust details as needed.

What are the advantages of a mechanical keyboard over a membrane one?
Greater durability (50-100 million keystrokes vs. ~5 million on membranes).
Better tactile response and precision.
Customization with different switches and keycaps.
Less fatigue during prolonged typing.
What is the difference between ANSI and ISO keyboards?
ANSI (USA): Rectangular Enter key, larger left Shift.
ISO (Europe/Latin America): Inverted "L" shaped Enter key, smaller left Shift.
I suffer from hand pain. What switches should I choose?
More and more people who work with computers complain of hand pain. This is largely caused by using membrane keyboards for two main reasons:
1. A certain amount of force is needed to press the keys.
2. The keys are pressed all the way down, which damages the joints.
In this case, low-weight linear switches are recommended, which activate at half travel without requiring force.
With these switches, within a few months you will avoid hand pain and regain strength.
Which switch should I choose for gaming?
For gaming, linear switches (red) are popular due to their smoothness and fast activation. However, some gamers prefer tactile switches (brown) for greater precision.
Additionally, there are speed switches that have half the travel distance, allowing you to press and release keys more quickly.
Which switch is best for typing?
For typing, you can choose between tactile switches where you'll feel when the keys are actuated, or even clicky switches that also make a click sound when pressing the keys.
There is a variant of tactile switches called hyper-tactile, which offer feedback most similar to membrane keyboards.
If you work in shared environments, clicky switches are not recommended as they are very noisy.
There are also silent switches that have a small rubber piece on the stem which reduces sound.
Are mechanical keyboards more durable than membrane ones?
Yes, mechanical keyboards are generally more durable. Mechanical switches typically have a lifespan of 50-100 million keystrokes per key, while membrane keyboards tend to last less.
Can the switches on a mechanical keyboard be changed?
Yes, if your keyboard has MX mechanical switches, they can be replaced with others. Currently there are more than 1000 different MX switch models on the market. Changing switches and keycaps is a common practice among mechanical keyboard enthusiasts.
Can the key functions be changed?
Yes, the most well-known open source projects are:
QMK allows you to change the keyboard's functionality through programming.
VIA can be activated in QMK to change key functions and create macros from a web page.
ZMK similar to QMK but for Bluetooth keyboards.
What are macros?
Macros are key combinations that can be assigned to a single key. For example, you can configure that pressing:
FN + s: Types "Good morning, how are you?"
FN + c: Presses Ctrl + Alt + Delete
This functionality is commonly used by gamers, programmers and designers.
What does "key rollover" and "anti-ghosting" mean?
Key rollover: The HID communication standard between the keyboard and computer allows up to 6 simultaneous key presses. The N-Key rollover configuration removes this limitation, allowing all keys to be pressed simultaneously.
Anti-ghosting: Keyboard keys are organized in rows and columns. If you press several keys simultaneously, a false keypress can occur — a keypress is sent for a key that isn't actually pressed. To prevent this, diodes are added to the circuit board, ensuring no false keypresses occur.
What is "RGB" in mechanical keyboards?
RGB (Red, Green, Blue) refers to programmable LED lighting that allows you to customize the color and light effects on the keyboard. This is popular among gamers and enthusiasts.
What is a hot-swappable keyboard?
A hot-swappable keyboard allows you to change switches without soldering, making customization easier.
